Amy Maestas

Amy Maestas is SJN's Director of Collaboratives: she leads the Local Media Project, a multi-year initiative with support from the Knight Foundation and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, that convened 15 news collaboratives to report on a pressing issue in a community with a solutions journalism perspective in order to change the prevailing negative narratives and to stimulate audience engagement. Amy graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in journalism and is a Knight-Wallace Fellow Class of 2017.
