Professional Bio
Funded (primarily) by NPR member stations, colleges, and universities around the United States, the "Next Generation Radio Project" is an audio-focused, digital-first multimedia project. Founded in 2000, this program has been finding, training, and mentoring early-stage journalists and working professionals interested in storytelling and journalism. Each project has 5-6 reporting teams, with each participant paired 1:1 with a professional journalist/mentor for a five-day, highly intensive digital media sprint. Since 2013, we have had more than 400 alumni, many of whom you will hear on NPR and NPR member stations as well as other media platforms.
