Lisa Rodriguez

Lisa Rodriguez became KCUR’s News Director in November 2020. Before that, she covered Kansas City, Missouri, City Hall and hosted newscasts during All Things Considered. And before that, she was an intern, a talk show producer and a weekend reporter.

Lisa was born in Santiago, Chile, and grew up in the Kansas City area. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2010 and went on to wait tables and tend bar in several of Kansas City’s best restaurants. Occasionally, you’ll catch her performing at her favorite French bistro in town.
