Professional Bio
Sonia Narang is a multimedia journalist who served as the editor and project manager for KALW's Health & Equity series. Sonia also coordinated community outreach work for KALW during the pandemic, including the 2020 election season.
Sonia reported radio, video, and photo stories for PRI's The World, the BBC, and NPR affiliates including KCRW, WHYY, WNYC, and others. At PRI's The World, Sonia oversaw multimedia global health series, launching in-depth projects on women's maternal health, education, and more.
A native Californian, Sonia has a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and got her start in public radio while reporting in Japan. Sonia began her career in journalism as a print reporter in Colorado.
