Professional Bio

Vicki Gonzalez is a Murrow and Emmy award-winning journalist with more then 15 years of experience as a reporter, news anchor and producer.

Since 2021, she has been the host of Insight at CapRadio, a one hour news talk program that airs live at 12pm with a rebroadcast at 7pm, Monday - Thursday. Vicki hosts interviews with community leaders, advocates, experts, artists and more to provide background and understanding on breaking news, big events, politics and culture in the Sacramento region and beyond.

Prior to her role as CapRadio’s Insight host, Vicki spent five years as a reporter at NBC’s Sacramento affiliate KCRA, where she produced daily assignments, special reports, breaking news and a documentary. She also worked as a broadcast TV reporter, news anchor and producer at KSNV-TV in Las Vegas and KXFV-TV in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas; as well as a digital news producer at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, and an intern at KGO-TV in San Francisco while at UC Berkeley.
