News Organization
Any organization producing original journalism for distribution via the public media system. All individuals working for the news organization will qualify for membership benefits.
Annual membership dues are based on the station's NFFS or total revenue as follows:
- Under $500,000 - $150
- $500,001 to $2,000,000 - $500
- $2,000,001 to $5,000,000 - $700
- $5,000,001 to $10,000,000 - $800
- $10,000,001 or more - $1,000
Note: PMJA is phasing in these new dues over three years for any renewing member who will see a dues increase of $100 or more.
For CSG qualified stations, PMJA will use CPB-provided NFFS amounts. Any station that is not CSG qualified will need to provide PMJA with their most recent budget showing total revenue numbers.
Media Professional - Annual Membership
Individuals working outside of a member News Organization to advance public media journalism such as freelancers, educators, and consultants.
Dues: $120 annually

Media Professional - Monthly Membership
Individuals working outside of a member News Organization to advance public media journalism such as freelancers, educators, and consultants.
Dues: $15 per month

Supporter
Organizations and businesses that support public media journalism. All individuals working for the Supporter will qualify for membership benefits.
Dues: $500 or more.
Student
Individuals who are high school students and students attending a two-year or four-year college or university. Graduate students also are eligible if not employed full-time with a News Organization. (Non-Voting Membership)
Dues: $25
