RECORDING AVAILABLE: Editorial Consulting with Elizabeth Jensen and Mark Memmott
Good journalists live by certain principles, but understand that they also need to be open to change, be willing to learn and be ready to help those who want to join them in the newsrooms of today and the future. Elizabeth Jensen and Mark Memmott try to do all those things. They’re best known in public media circles as NPR’s past Public Editor and NPR’s past Supervising Editor for Standards and Practices. They’ve both spent many hours working with local public radio stations on issues involving ethics and standards.
Now, Memmott has retired from his most recent position as the managing editor of The Texas Newsroom. Jensen ended her five-year stint at NPR in 2020. They are making themselves available to local public radio stations through a partnership with PMJA. All billing and payments will be handled through PMJA.
