Emily Lytle

Emily Lytle is the Innovation in Focus Editor at the Reynolds Journalism Institute based at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She produces RJI’s Innovation in Focus series in which she partners with small and community-centered newsrooms across the country to test new ideas, tools and tech. She shares the findings, templates and tips from these short-term experiments on RJI’s website and in the Innovation in Focus newsletter. Previously, Emily worked as a reporter at Delaware Online/The News Journal and DelmarvaNow/The Daily Times, receiving regional awards for her reporting on land use and health care access. She earned a B.A. in Journalism at American University in Washington, D.C.
