Professional Bio
Mackenzie Martin is one of the hosts of the KCUR Studios’ podcast, A People’s History of Kansas City, a show that shines a spotlight on the everyday heroes and visionaries who created Kansas City and the region. Her audio stories have been featured on 99% Invisible, Milk Street Radio, Gravy, NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Here & Now, and Marketplace. She has been nominated for two James Beard audio reporting awards, and won numerous national and regional journalism awards. When she isn’t making her own podcasts, she’s editing someone else's or attempting to inspire the next generation of podcasters as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
