Michelle Billman

Michelle Billman is the partnership and engagement associate for The Marshall Project. In this role, she helps design reporting toolkits based on TMP’s national investigations to support local newsrooms with their own accountability journalism. For more than a decade, Michelle managed regional public radio newsrooms where she trained dozens of emerging journalists. At KUNR Public Radio in Reno, Nevada, Michelle co-founded several partnerships to increase reporting in Spanish and elevate youth voices. These partnerships have earned national Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in innovation and diversity, equity and inclusion. Michelle is based in Reno.
